Expectations
Understand there are rules and regulations that your homestay family expects you to follow and respect not only for them but for your well-being and safety.

Meals
You will usually receive three healthy Canadian meals a day.

Cleanliness
A daily shower is common. Generally a shower lasts no more than 10-15 minutes for most Canadians.

Telephone
Try to limit your own calls - and call others make to you.

Emergency
Know how to reach your host dad / mom at work and remember their cellular phone numbers.

Safety
Some homestay family may also feel a curfew - a time by which you must come home - is essential, depending on your age and season of the year.
